Middle school sports represent an excellent means of building self-confidence, fostering teamwork and work ethic, while also increasing individual fitness levels. Below are some general guidelines for student-athletes.

Practice Procedures

  • Begins around 3:10 PM and ends around 4:30 - 4:45 PM. Coaches will communicate practice schedules.

  • Practices are not optional. Parents, please communicate with coaches if your child needs to be excused from a practice.

  • Student-athletes are expected to maintain a positive attitude and try their best.

Game Procedures

  • For home games, student-athletes dress and report to the field. (Boys and girls soccer and boys lacrosse report to their bus taking them to Woodlyn Elementary School)

  • For away games, student-athletes are dismissed at 1:30pm, they report to the locker room, get dressed and report to their bus.

  • Student-athletes are expected to display sportsmanship in victory and defeat. They are also responsible for the clean up of bench, sideline, and locker room areas for home and away games.

Student-Athlete Eligibility

  • Students need to be at school no later than 11am to participate in practices or games.

  • Must maintain passing grades in all subject areas

  • Eligibility is checked weekly

  • Any student-athlete who is ineligible cannot participate in games or practices.

  • Parents, if your student is ineligible, a letter will be sent home. It will need to be signed and returned.

Please remind and reinforce to your child the importance of bringing home their equipment and having it cleaned or laundered. Make sure they know all personal items need to be secured throughout the day, during practice and events.
