APPLICATION AND APPROVAL

Applications for the use of school facilities will follow the procedure described below:
Field usage will be for Ridley School District residents only by insured charities and chartered organizations.A "Building and Grounds Permit" form will be secured from any district office. The requesting inpidual must use one permit per building. All parts of the permit must be completed.Permits may not be issued, or may be cancelled, on dates that the District is closed due to scheduled holidays or weather-related incidents.A preliminary approval of the date requested must be secured from the principal of the building or grounds in question.The permit will be forwarded to the Director of Facilities to check for facility availability and assign approved fees for preliminary approval.The application must be submitted to the School Board Secretary on or before the first Monday of the month and at least five (5) days in advance of the first desired date.The Board of School Directors will review application requests for approval or rejection during the regular, public monthly meeting.One copy of the permit indicating approval or rejection of the request by the School Board will be returned to the building principal whose name appears on the permit.If the permit is approved for use, a copy will be sent directly to the applicant from the Office of the Director of Facilities after invoices are generated for the appropriate fees. Additional documentation may be required from the applicant prior to the use of district facilities, such as an insurance certificate.Permits that cannot be honored and are rejected will be returned to the applicant.The first night of the activity, the person in charge will present the custodian, or district representative, a "Building and Grounds Permit." The person in charge of the group will also be responsible for all spectators.School functions are given priority for scheduling of district property. In the event that a school-based group is running over the scheduled time, the permitted organization must wait for the event to end (e.g. extra innings on a baseball field.)1334.1 Use of Facilities-Application and Approval
