Ridley Township Public Library is gearing up for its fourth annual Prom Dress Giveaway, a community-favorite event aimed at making prom and formal occasions more accessible for local teens. The event will take place on Saturday, February 1, and Sunday, February 2, 2025, offering gently used dresses and accessories free of charge to next year’s prom-goers and formal event attendees.
The giveaway is designed to provide teens with everything they need to feel their best on their big night. Guests will have access to a wide selection of dresses, shoes, bags, jewelry, and other accessories, all of which they can browse and try on in private fitting areas. The best part? Every item is free of charge, ensuring that no one is excluded from the joy of dressing up due to financial constraints.
To make this event a success, the Ridley High School library is also collecting donations from the Ridley School District community. Gently used formal dresses and accessories can be dropped off at the Ridley Township Public Library or the Ridley High School Library through Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Donors are encouraged to contribute items in all sizes and styles, including hangers and shoe boxes if possible. Dresses should be clean, in good condition, and fairly recent in style to ensure their next owner feels confident and stylish.
