Attention Seniors! If you’re graduating in 2025, now is the perfect time to start thinking about how to fund your college education. Below are several scholarships available exclusively for students in Delaware County, with a due date of November 12, 2024. Don’t miss out on these opportunities!
Health Professions Scholarship
Amount: $7,000
This scholarship supports students planning to enter a career in the human health professions—whether that be as a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, therapist, or medical researcher. Applicants from Interboro, Ridley, Southeast Delco, Wallingford-Swarthmore, Springfield, and Rose Tree Media School Districts are eligible.
Awardees will receive the scholarship in two installments during their undergraduate education.
Interviews will be conducted with top applicants.

Dora and John Brown Scholarship
Amount: $1,500
Honoring longtime Chester, PA, residents Dora and John Brown, this scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from Chester who has maintained a 3.0 GPA, engaged in community service, and plans to attend a not-for-profit institution.
At least one scholarship will be awarded this year.
The funds will be paid directly to the student’s educational institution.

Isiah and Tommie Lee Jones Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
This scholarship, in memory of Chester residents Isiah and Tommie Lee Jones, is available to students from Chester. Up to five scholarships will be awarded this year.
Scholarships will be paid directly to the student’s college, university, or trade school.

TGJ Shine On Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Created in memory of Tiffany Grossi Johnson, this scholarship rewards female scholar-athletes who demonstrate excellence both in and outside of the classroom.
One scholarship is awarded to a student from Ridley High School, another from Springfield High School, and one to a student from elsewhere in Delaware County.
The funds will be paid directly to the student’s educational institution.

Lawrence Murray, Sr. Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
This scholarship honors Lawrence Murray Sr., founder of Green Lawn Cemetery in Chester, PA. Available to African-American seniors residing in Chester with a focus on community service.
The funds will be paid directly to the student’s college, university, or trade school.
