Ridley High School students and staff took a bold dive into icy waters last Friday, January 31st, as they participated in the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Polar Plunge at Citizens Bank Park. The annual event, which draws thousands of plungers from across the state, raises funds to support more than 15,000 Special Olympics athletes.
This year, Ridley High School made a significant impact, raising approximately $4,000 for the cause. Participants braved the freezing temperatures, demonstrating their commitment to inclusivity and athletic excellence.
All funds raised from the event go toward providing free sports, health, and leadership programming for Special Olympics athletes, including those in the Greater Philadelphia Region, which serves Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties.
With another successful Polar Plunge completed, Ridley High School continues to contribute to an important cause, proving that a little cold is nothing compared to the warmth of giving back.
